►|Thursday/January 23, 2014|Part Three of END TIME SERIES► DANIEL 2&3. ||Message Six: The Three Hebrews In The Burning Oven / Furnace. (Daniel 3:19-30)
The King became furious when he observed the three boys wouldn't bow to the image he made with gold. He commanded the mightiest men in his army to bind them & had them thrown into the 7-times heated furnace/oven. Even the so-called mightiest men, upon getting close to the furnace, were killed by the flames of the fire. The King thought his maths was failing him: He asked ''Didn't we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered the king ''True, O king.'' He said he saw four men, loosed & were walking in the midst of the fire & they had no hurt; & the fourth was like the Son of God. Hallelujah! Jesus Christ joined the three boys in the fire. They were then released & promoted.
Lesson 1: Don't Be A Christian Only In Church or in the Presence of other Christians: Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the king's food & drink in Chapter 1 & the three boys joined him. In Chapter 3, when tempted with Idolatry & Daniel was NOT around, the the three boys still overcame the temptation. So, whether Daniel was or wasn't around, the three Boys were prepared not to sin against God. Today, many people are Christians only when they're within the four corners of the church building; or when they're with other Christians. As soon as they leave, they throw their Christianity away. Speaking/Acting like a Christian in Church, among other Christians or before a Pastor, BUT LIVING A WORLDLY LIFESTYLE afterward makes the person Worse than an unbeliever. God rebuked me on this sin sometime ago. And I repented from it. If U are a victim, please repent from it.
Lesson 2: No Victory Over a Test; No Promotion. Have U seen Grade 1 student who failed an Exam & was promoted to Grade 2? Certainly Not. When they passed the test on Food, God promoted the three boys by using Daniel to lobby for positions for them in the King's government. And when they again passed the test on idolatry, God used the king to give them higher positions. God tests before He promotes.
Lesson 3: The Higher We Go, the more difficult the test: God is so wonderful and just. At the base level on the Christian ladder; the test there is not as difficult as at the top. The higher U go, the more difficult the test. But the Joy is that He doesn't allow tests that are beyond our strength come to us (1 Corinthians 10:13). The three boys overcame less difficult tests (i.e. on Food) so as they were promoted, they also met a more difficult test (i.e. on Idolatry). The test babies in Christ face isn't the same as what mature ones face.
Lesson 4: Be careful with Food: Come to think of it, Adam & Eve were tempted on Food & they failed, as they ate fruits from the Forbidden Tree; Esau was tempted on Food & he failed, as he sold his birthright to get a food from Jacob; Daniel & his three friends were tempted on food & they passed, as they refused to defile themselves with the king's food & drink; JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF was first tempted on Food (turning stone into bread) and He passed, as He didn't allow his hunger to lead him to obey the devil. Do U think God arbitrarily permitted these people to be FIRSTLY tempted through FOOD? I don' think so. If U can't Control yourself when it comes to food, Can U control yourself when it comes to SEX, MONEY, FAME & other more difficult temptations?
By the grace of God, we're done with Part Three of End Time Series, which covered The Book of Daniel Chapters 2&3. God willing, Next Week Monday, 27th of January, we shall start Part Four of End Time Series, which is goin' to cover DANIEL CHAPTER 4.
