The Charismatic Falsehood Message 3: MIRACLE & HEALING

Wednesday, Sept 10, 2014....Topic One: The Charismatic Falsehood
Message 3: MIRACLE & HEALING
By: Brother Samuel Kwasi Forkuo

In fact, one of the grievous sins the Bible warns us of, is attributing the Work of the Holy Spirit to the devil. Therefore, we must be circumspect when talking about Miracle & Healing - which are also gifts given to the Body of Christ (The Church) for God's Glory (1 Corinthians 12:9&10).

However, we must be careful not to fall victims to some foul spirits. Some miracles/healing are not from God. Whatever the Lord does/gives, the devil mimics/copies. So, just as God's (miracles/healing) are genuine/original, that of the devil are counterfeit/fake. For just as Moses' & Aaron's rod became a serpent, so did the rods of the enchanters and magicians of Egypt (Exodus 7:10-12).  Read carefully what Jesus Christ told the 70 followers he sent, when they came back to give nice report about the miracles and healings they performed.....

''Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.'' Luke 10:20 KJV

By extension, it is not enough to perform miracles or to heal the sick; we must make sure our names are written in the Book of Life. A person can perform powerful miracles and healings and still be lost. If you doubt, read carefully again what Christ said....

''Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.'' Matthew 7:22-23

When all these scriptures clearly tell us that the ''Ish'' is not in performing miracle or healing, many charismatic churches lay more emphasis on these gifts than living a Christ-like life. Many of the Tele-Evangelist  and those we hear them on the radio, are False healers. They use much trickery to dazzle their audience. In fact, in Kenya, 4 people left a hospital to be healed by a famous Tele-Evangelist (name-withheld) at one of his crusades, but they died as a result.

Someone testified he heard on the 700 Club that a Pastor (name-withheld) claimed he raised a dead person but in an interview he stated he couldn't remember where or when - Where is the one he supposedly raised? Let us be honest, you raise someone from the dead and then you have amnesia as to the name of the person you raised.

There are those who have claimed to be healed and in the last days God has allowed some people to be healed miraculously. Why?

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: {12} That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Th 2:11-12 KJV)

God is allowing people to be healed to allow those who want to be deceived to be deceived. In Matthew 12:39-40, we read:

''But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: {40} For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (Mat 12:39-40 KJV)

In Christ's 33 years, His generation sought for a sign and He called them evil. Biblical principles are constant and the same principle applies today, that when someone is looking for a sign, at the expense of salvation, such a person is evil. The Bible states we are to live by faith and not by sight....''For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Cor 5:7 KJV).

Our names could be written in Heaven (in the Lamb's Book of Life) even when we are amputees (or suffering any sickness/ailment). But we can never go to heaven when we're living in sin. We must repent. Salvation and obedience to Christ are more important than miracles and healing.

I would be a hypocrite if I told you I were without sin. I stumble in my walk with God. But the joy is that He picks and put me back on track. The war between the flesh and the Spirit sometimes gets high. But we trust God for His daily power. Instead of seeking miracles and healing, let's work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).

May the Lord be our help....Amen!
ALL THE GLORY TO GOD
