INTRODUCTION: 

Daniel lived throughout the 70yrs in which Babylon was the super power. Let's now trace the root of Babylon. Don' forget, we learned that River Euphrates ran through Babylon. This is why it is believed that Babylon might have been built at where the Garden of Eden was located. This is because, in Genesis 2, we're told River Euphrates ran through the Garden of Eden.

Again, Babylon could be traced to the country where the Tower of Babel, which was clearly Anti-God, was being built in Genesis 11.

Again, it could be traced to Mesopotamia, which was full of Chaldeans. Haran, the hometown of Abraham, which was full of Idol worshipers, was located in Mesopotamia. That was why God called him to COME OUT &go where He (GOD) would show him (Abraham) in Genesis 12. In effect, God took Abraham from Haran/Mesopotamia (Babylon) to build a new country/nation of Israel (Canaan).

When the nation of Israel sinned against God & failed to repent, God sent them back to BABYLON (where He called their father Abraham from). Can U see how God works? Of course, Babylon in our time is in the region of IRAQ. But in this end time, when Bible talks of Babylon, it means a system (political, religious, economic, social etc) that is Anti-God. That's why anytime a spiritual nation, church, or individual degenerates into sin & fails to listen to God's warnings, God drives them away from His presence TO BABYLON (Physical Babylon in the olden days; Spiritual Babylon in these end times).

Therefore, Daniel 1 to 5 cover the 70yrs that God's people spent in exile in Babylon. In this end time, many nations, churches &individuals are in spiritual Babylon. God is calling His people to COME OUT (Revelation 18:4).

The 70yrs is over & God is preparing a MOVEMENT, by using Daniel & Cyrus as instruments to accomplish it. Before God sent them back to Jerusalem, certain things occurred. And one of them is what Daniel 6 tells us, which Part Six of End Time Series will be addressing.
