THE RISE OF MEDO-PERSIAN KINGDOM/EMPIRE 
(NOTE VERY WELL: One of the Reasons We should FEAR GOD IS THAT HE CONTROLS HISTORY. HE KNOWS THE END RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. HE CAN TELL US OUR FUTURE EVEN TODAY.) 

Medo-Persia was a joint-force of Medes & Persians (or Media & Persia), hence the name ''Medo-Persia.'' It was led by Cyrus (Persian) & his uncle Darius (Medes/Media/Elam). Don' forget, this Kingdom/Empire was the statue's chest & arms made of silver that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream. It was to emerge after the fall of Babylonian Empire (the head of the statue, made of gold). Dear Reader, wouldn't U fear the Most High? Everything He says comes to pass.

And to make us fear God the more, God had already prophesied through Isaiah in Isaiah 21v2 that because of the treachery of Babylon, God would raise Elam (Persia) & Media to destroy Babylon. The results is seen in v9, which says ''...Babylon is fallen, is fallen! And all the carved images of her gods He has broken to the ground.” God foretold the destruction of Babylon by Medo-Persian army 175yrs before it happened; when Babylon had not even conquered Judah, much less the rise of Medo-Persian Kingdom.

Again, God prophesied through Isaiah in 44v26 that ''who carries out the words of his servants and fulfills the predictions of his messengers,
who says of Jerusalem, ‘It shall be inhabited, of the towns of Judah, ‘They shall be rebuilt,’ and of their ruins, ‘I will restore them,’' God was telling His people that their nation would be REBUILT when they had not even gone into captivity in Babylon, much less their returning to rebuild it. I opened my mouth for some minutes; totally in awe of God. Isn't God amazing!

Don' forget, we learned that God foretold them because they didn't repent & for breaking the 7th-year sabbath, they would go into exile in Babylon for 70yrs & when the 70yrs was over and the land had enjoyed its 7th-year sabbath for 70yrs, they would be brought back. God foretold, through Jeremiah the last prophet exactly how Judah would serve in Babylon under King Nebuchadnezzar, his son & his grandson before HE (God) would also make another nations/kings conquer him (King Nebuchadnezzar) in Jeremiah 27v6&7. They went into capitivity nd exactly 70yrs later, Babylon was conquered.

What finally deflated me & made me marvel at God the most was that He foretold them even the PERSON who was to send them back to Jerusalem in Isaiah 44v28 ''who says of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd and will accomplish all that I please; he will say of Jerusalem, “Let it be rebuilt,” and of the temple, “Let its foundations be laid.” Yes, CYRUS was the one whom God used, via Daniel, to begin the movement to send God's people back to Jerusalem for its rebuilding. He is in charge of History.

WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVED. HE KNOWS EVERYTHING. LET'S PUT OUR WHOLE TRUST IN HIM....AMEN
