GOD RESCUED DANIEL FROM THE LIONS' DEN: THE STORY

Now, Babylon the great has fallen, Medo-Persian Kingdom/Empire has become the world's super power, led by Cyrus (a Persian), who made Darius, his uncle (a Medes) the king over the kingdom.

King Darius appointed 120 satraps/governors to rule throughout the kingdom, with 3 administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel.

We know the story already; Let me sum it up. The 120 governors & 2 administrators, jealous of Daniel, conspired against Daniel but they could find NONE; except things relating to Daniel's faith in God. So they made the king pass a decree in sync with the Medes & Persians Law, ''That anyone who prays to any god or human being during the next thirty days, except to the King, shall be thrown into the lions’ den. Daniel disobeyed & was thrown into the lion's den, though the king did all that he could to save him.

Daniel was miraculously saved; the lions didn't hurt him. Those who plotted that evil plan - their wives & children - were thrown into the lions' den & before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them & crushed all their bones. The king then decreed that, henceforth the God of Daniel was the only God that was to be worshiped. So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius (the Medes) & Cyrus (the Persian).

Later today, God willing, we shall look at THE LESSONS God wants to teach us with this story.
